After I respond to my eFAAN, what's next?

Your responses will be processed and your financial aid prepared for disbursement. If you accepted a student loan, you will be notified by University e-mail if you need to complete an electronic promissory note prior to your loan disbursement. If a paper promissory note is required for any of your loans, it will be sent to your current mailing address on file with the University.

First time borrowers are required to complete student loan entrance counseling before receiving loan proceeds. The counseling provides important information on your rights and responsibilities as a student loan borrower. Click here to complete the entrance counseling online. You will be required to log in with your U.S. Department of Education Personal Identification Number (PIN). The Office of Student Finance will be notified automatically upon completion of your counseling.

Your financial aid awards are disbursed to your University student account in equal amounts at the start of each semester. You will be sent a University e-mail confirming when your aid has been disbursed if you have:

  • registered on time for the minimum number of credits required by your financial aid award program(s);

  • completed all necessary paperwork (including promissory notes, if required); and

  • no holds are on your student record that would prevent aid disbursement.
