Disbursement & billing
First disbursement
Your financial aid will be disbursed into your University student account at the start of each semester if you have registered for the required number of credits. Approximately two weeks before the start of the semester your enrollment is verified and your aid is prepared for early disbursement. Your financial aid could be disbursed into your student account as early as the week before classes begin.
Enrollment adjustments
Then, at the end of the cancel/add period (generally the first two weeks of the term), your enrollment is verified for the second and last time for the semester. All adjustments to your semester’s aid will be made at that time. You may receive additional aid if you increased your credit load, or if you reduced your credits since early disbursement, you may be asked to repay aid that you are no longer qualified to receive because you don't meet the credit requirements.
Scholarships & third party payments
If you receive any scholarship or loan checks directly from a third party, such as a donor or lender, you must submit these checks for processing to the One Stop Student Services Center, 200 Fraser Hall, East Bank campus. If the check is made out to you or made co-payable to you and the University, we ask that you endorse the back of the check at the time you drop off the check at One Stop Student Services. Once you endorse the check, your funds will be deposited to pay the balance due in your University student account. Any money remaining in the account after all charges have been paid (credit balance) will be sent to your bank checking or savings account via direct deposit.
Account payments
Your financial aid is disbursed into your student account. If your financial aid is not sufficient to pay the account balance due, you will be billed for the remaining unpaid amount.
