Distance learning course criteria
Term-based
Term-based (semester-length) online telecommunications courses are automatically counted in enrollment for financial aid. This includes online courses offered directly through academic departments as well as courses from Online and Distance Learning in the College of Continuing Education.
Extended-term
Extended-term online telecommunications and extended-term correspondence courses (which allow nine months for completion) are not eligible for financial aid. Typically these courses are only offered through Online and Distance Learning in the College of Continuing Education. The designation "instruction mode: extended term..." appears in listings of these courses in the class schedule.
