East River Flats, West
East River Flats is a stretch of park land between the the east bank of the Mississippi River and the U of M river bluffs. It is a pleasant place to take a walk, jog or just sit and watch the river go by.
This is the west end of East River Flats. A path that begins behind you follows the river shore at the base of the bluff. The path was recently constructed and handles foot, stroller, and wheelchair traffic.
Many sports clubs meet at East River Flats to play. On any given day you can find groups playing soccer, ultimate frisbee, and football.
