West Bank, East Shore of the Mississippi
Here is West Bank as seen from water level on the shore of the Mississippi River at East River Flats. This is on the last mile or so of the river that barges can navigate. The bridge to the right is the Washington Ave bridge, which has a pedestrian deck over the motor traffic lanes.
Looking directly across the river, you can see the Social Sciences Building (tower on the right), Middlebrook Hall (tower on the left), the West Bank dorm, with the Ted Mann Concert Hall inbetween. At the far left is Fairview Hospital, which is not part of campus.
